Nature for inpiration

It is sometimes the small things that give you writing inspiration.
"The colour was something he hadn't seen in a long time.  A time before the war."

Life in the microcosm.
"They looked edible and I knew I was hungry enough to take the chance."

 animals up close.
"This was the third day in a row the fish had come and it was a sign; if only everyone believed the way we did."

whole worlds the size of your thumb.
"Lying on the sand I tried not to hear the words, and so concentrated on the coral. They didn't care about monogamy."

Inspiration comes from an unexpected source.
"Day three and we still hadn't seen any pirates."
